JORDAN LLOYD INAUGURAL 2015 CAMS JAYCO AUSTRALIAN FORMULA 4 CHAMPION

Signed Sealed and Delivered by Jordan Lloyd

When Toowoomba’s Jordan Lloyd first heard the rumors of a new Wings and Slicks Formula for Australia that was being backed by the Confederation of Australian Motorsport and endorsed by the FIA he had his doubts, another new series? But in a short time he made short work of it and took the new series by storm.

“Our Mygale Formula 4 has felt good from the first test day through to this weekend at Phillip Island, I’ve had a lot of confidence in the car. When it was announced that Jayco would be the naming rights sponsors I knew there was substantial backing for the series, plus with CAMS heading it, it was a no brainer for me to jump in boots and all” said Lloyd.

This weekend’s clean sweep by Lloyd means that by qualifying on pole and winning all 3 races, along with setting a new lap record in the final race plus finishing a staggering 8.3 seconds ahead of the rest of the field in the last race he has locked out the Championship from his competitors and can race the final round with no stress.

“We managed to get the car in the window early on in the weekend for qualifying and kept it there for all 3 races. Being the first Australian F4 champion is a pretty damn good feeling” said Lloyd after race three.

The whole BRM team have worked tirelessly on the F4 cars, the teams professionalism has been rewarded already with a round to spare.

“It was good to see my team mate Zane really push and get second in the last race, myself and Team BRM couldn’t be happier with the way the season has turned out. We are looking forward to Homebush, the final round, as a relaxed weekend which is a good change of pace” said Lloyd with a smile.

Jordan heads to the Sydney Olympic Park Street Race on December 4-6.

Thanks once again to Darin Mandy and his team from Digital Realism.
