JORDAN LLOYD OFF TO A FLYING START IN USF2000

Jordan Lloyd has made an immediate impact in the United States.

The Cotswold Hills driver has made a great start to the USF2000 series, which started in conjunction with the IndyCar Grand Prix of St Petersburg at the weekend.

In the feeder category to IndyCar, Lloyd started on pole position for race one and led every lap on his way to winning the season opener.

It was a dominant performance as he clocked the fastest lap and never surrendered the lead, taking the chequered flag in his category debut.

He again clocked the fastest lap time in race two but had to settle for second.

Yufeng Luo took out race two after finishing second to Lloyd in race one.

But it was a great start to the series for Lloyd as he looks to build on taking out the inaugural Australian Formula 4 Championship last year.

He is happy with the opening round and holds the championship lead.

The next round of the USF2000 series will be at the Grand Prix of Alabama on April 23.
